This video was never meant to go on YouTube. That's right. Initially, I wanted to record a "short" pronunciation video for Instagram, but it ended up being almost nine minutes long. (lol) This is why you'll find words in this video that I already demonstrated in a different pronunciation video on YouTube. Sorry about that! Just consider it "extra" practice :D Oh, and due to popular request... I finally added WORDS on the screen (you can thank me in the comments, haha) This was a HUGE job and took way longer than it should have. The problem is that online dictionaries use the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) differently, and it was impossible to find a "correct" IPA spelling for each word. So, instead of copying some random IPA spelling off the internet, I decided to study the entire IPA alphabet hard core for an entire week and come up with my own system... and I'm so glad I did! In fact, I'm going to teach it later this year in my upcoming pronunciation course. (Sign up on my website to be the first to hear about the course! englishfulltime.com) In this video, you can.... 1. Hear & see how each word is pronounced 2. See how each word is spelled 3. Study the pronunciation through the phonetic transcription In addition, I've added my own crazy spelling patterns for people who don't know the IPA. I hope that my pronunciation suggestions are helpful and draw your attention to HOW to say these words correctly. Anyhow, here is the list of words that I demonstrate in this video: 1. Clothes 2. Honestly 3. Important 4. Opportunity 5. Antibiotic 6. Overwhelmed 7. Irresistible 8. Squirrel 9. Congratulations 10. Extraordinary 11. Vocabulary 12. Graduation 13. Graduate 14. Unemployed 15. Association 16. Artist 17. Serendipity 18. Battery 19. Unbelievable 20. Sixth 21. Just What words do you want me to demonstrate in the next pronunciation video?
